IDUS HPP SYSTEMS is the brand name created by Metronics Technologies S.L. for its range of HPP machines. Metronics Technologies S.L. is an independent Spanish company.
The company has installed more than 350 waterjet cutting systems for food in 40 countries of the five continents. The biggest waterjet installation worldwide has been conceived, constructed and installed by the same engineers that have developed the high-pressure vessels included in our HPP machines. It has 1.25 MW of power and works with 372 nozzles at 3000 bar. Pumping is a well-known technology for them.
High pressure is not something new for us. Anyway, pushing the limit to 6000 bar has meant 5 years of development. Finally, the first 50-liter vessel passed the final pressure test on the 22nd of December 2017, and a 300-liter vessel is under construction and should be ready for delivery by the last quarter of 2019.
We are not satisfied with giving a solution to a problem, the solution must be technologically brilliant. And that is only achieved through teamwork, brainstorming, criticism, acceptance of criticism and hard work. And all that is useless if not supported by an outstanding servicing.
With a track of more than 350 high pressure customers worldwide, the customers of the machines we sell today know well that service is what it is all about. All those high pressure food cutters with a pressure up to 4000 bar has served our team to be prepared to deal with 6000 bar HPP machines in the IDUS range.
Metronics Technologies entered into the high pressure food business in central Europe in 2007. Since then, mostly pastry artisans and manufacturers have been supplied with waterjet cutting machines to step up their business. Today, it's the high pressure pasteurization that comes to go side by side with our range of waterjet machines "Watercut". We get into an arena where Hiperbaric, Avure and Uhde have been alone for years. IDUS will bring a breath of fresh air to this HPP market.
A economical small 10 liter machine will be in market to serve Universities and Food Development Centers to conceive new products. This machine will mimick the big machines, just 600 MPa at room temperature and similar ramp-up times. Then a 50-liter HPP machine or a 300-liter HPP machine will do the real production.
